Supporting High School Males of Color in High Poverty with a Two Generational Approach
This session examines new implications for providing holistic services to boys and men of color in impoverished neighborhoods. More significantly, in single parent (female headed) households, where there were notable findings on how participants envisioned their future and the support given in terms of programming. Also, the session will establish a basic premise for understanding the depth of this work and provide insight for strategic planning that is inclusive of home, school and community in a two-generational approach.
